I’m going to talking about my next fieldwork in
Archaeology. In this case we’ll go to Rapel River, in the Fourth Region (near
of Monte Patria), for the subject called Methods and Technics of fieldwork 2,
and our principal aim is to prospect. In
mere words, the prospection consists in to walk long distances looking for archaeological
pieces in the surface, and so to identify likely sites. We’ll be for five days
in that place and the more important is to have the necessary equipment,
because in the opposite case I can lose in the mountains or even worse. Is for
this reason that I have to bring the basic implements, as a sunblock, hat, some
water bottles, a compass, a flashlight, jacket, and others.
Moreover this will be my second fieldwork in
the career, because the first it was in the subject Andean Cultures, where I
went to Talabre (near of San Pedro de Atacama), and it was amazing.
Now I expect that it will be a good experience
for my academic formation and for to strengthen my relations with my partners. But
unfortunately everything has a dark side, because when I get back to the class,
I’ll have to advance or finish some pending works, like reports or tests.
I would like to have this kind of activities in my career :c
